who i am
A journalist and editor for more than 30 years, I have always made my living out of a knack for quickly grasping issues and explaining them in a clear way.
It helped me forge an enjoyable and varied career in local and national news, a large part of it spent observing huge events at close quarters at home and abroad as a political correspondent with the Press Association.
A move to Scotland brought me the chance to help lead a digital revolution that propelled the UK’s biggest-selling regional daily right to the vanguard of online news and a number of prestigious awards.
Today I am channeling everything I have learned along the way into helping businesses, organisations and individuals from every sphere get their voices heard amid the clatter.
In between times I love nothing better than getting out to explore the amazing countryside around us here in our little corner of coastal Aberdeenshire.
